In the village

Our house is about 2 minutes’ walk from the village centre (Markt). Follow the main road into St. Veit. After the Mehrzweckhaus (fire station and music school, a large red building on the right), turn right. After about 50 metres along Haidachweg you will see our house on the right.

Getting here

By car from Munich / Germany (motorway, vignette required)
  1. A8 motorway towards Salzburg, then cross the border at Walserberg onto the A10 Tauern motorway
  2. A10 towards Villach as far as the Bischofshofen exit (exit 47)
  3. Follow the road (expressway, main road, past St. Johann im Pongau) to the St. Veit im Pongau exit
  4. At the roundabout head towards St. Veit as far as the red Mehrzweckhaus (on the right), then turn right
  5. About 50 metres along Haidachweg, and you’re here.
By car from Munich / Germany (main roads, no vignette required)
  1. A8 motorway towards Salzburg, exit at Siegsdorf
  2. Towards Lofer, Saalfelden, Zell am See
  3. From Zell am See take the main road towards Bischofshofen/Salzburg
  4. After the Schönberg tunnel near Schwarzach, turn off towards St. Veit im Pongau
  5. At the roundabout head towards St. Veit as far as the red Mehrzweckhaus (on the right), then turn right; about 50 m along Haidachweg
By car from Italy / Slovenia (via Villach)
  1. A10 Tauern motorway towards Salzburg through the Katschberg and Tauern tunnels
  2. Exit at Bischofshofen/Pongau, then follow the road past St. Johann im Pongau
  3. Take the St. Veit im Pongau exit; at the roundabout head towards St. Veit as far as the red Mehrzweckhaus (on the right)
  4. Then turn right; about 50 m along Haidachweg
By train

St. Veit shares the railway junction Schwarzach-St. Veit with Schwarzach. All international trains stop here. Let us know in advance and we will be happy to pick you up from the station. There is also an hourly bus between Schwarzach and St. Veit. Timetables: oebb.at (new window).

By plane

Salzburg Airport is around 60 km away, about 45 minutes via the motorway. Hire cars are available at the airport, and you can also continue your journey by train. On request we can pick you up from the airport for a fee.
